Planning and Management for Multi-Use Trails
The goal for managers of multi-use trails is to provide quality experiences for a range of users and user groups. Every trail and trail project presents its own unique set of challenges and opportunities in planning, design, and management. Trail managers must consider all of these when planning for new trails, or when assessing existing trails with the purpose of creating or updating a management plan. Join instructors from Penn Trails for a deep dive into the planning and management considerations that must be weighed by managers of multi-use trails. This workshop will utilize the Green Valleys Watershed Association – Welkinweir Conceptual Trail Plan Phase 1, executed by Penn Trails in December 2019, as a core resource for the workshop on Day One and Day Two.
