Solar Series: Solar Ordinance Development

This session would take a fresh look of what we have learned on solar ordinance development across the Commonwealth, factors counties and municipalities consider in designing a solar ordinance, where the impacts could converge with the interests of land trusts, and where this constituency group might get involved in the design and crafting of ordinances pertaining to utility scale solar in Pennsylvania.


About the Solar Series

WeConservePA, in partnership with Thomas Murphy, Director of the Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research and Brook Duer, Staff Attorney with the Center for Agricultural and Shale Law at Penn State, will build upon the success of the 2021 Summer Solar series in the spring of 2022. This new series will kick-off at the Pennsylvania Land Conservation Conference and continue with 3 virtual sessions scheduled in April and May.
