Countryside Conservancy announced that 256 acres have been permanently protected from development at the base of Elk Mountain. Through the generous donation of a conservation easement by B. Elliot & Kimberly D. Ross, the fields, forests and streams will forever remain a natural part of the classic NEPA landscape. As the land is privately owned, it will not be open to public access.
