EAC Network Planning Committee members assist with planning networking and training events, and with the development and coordination of other programs providing support to environmental advisory council members.

• Anyone can volunteer to serve by submitting this form.
• Any individual can be nominated and self-nominations are welcome.
• The nominator must be a current EAC Steering Committee, and the nominee needs to be a current EAC member.
• Individuals may submit multiple nominations.

For nominees who do not presently serve on the committee, you must upload a signed EAC Steering Committee agreement [Link to the Agreement Form] when prompted below.

The WeConservePA board of directors charges the policy council to:

• Identify policy issues potentially appropriate for WeConservePA deliberations and actions.
• Study and discuss potential WeConservePA strategies and actions, both proactively and in response to current events.
• Consider opportunities to improve public policy at all levels of government as well as private measures that could be taken by the land conservation community.
• Make recommendations to the WeConservePA board and staff on these matters, both at the invitation of the board and staff and at the council’s own initiative.

Prospective council members must be nominated by the CEO or board chair of a WeConservePA member organization and be subsequently appointed by the board of directors. Nominees must also agree to policy council responsibilities. To nominate a person, simply email Andy Loza at aloza@WeConservePA.org, make a brief case for the person’s nomination, and provide a brief bio. Two paragraphs are generally sufficient. Self-nominations are perfectly acceptable!

Note that: (1) numerous organizations and coalitions engage in public policy that work in the conservation, environmental, and outdoor recreation fields, each holding different policy priorities; and (2) WeConservePA is unique in the public policy space in being a Pennsylvania statewide organization with a strong, long-standing, primary focus on serving land conservation. Thus, although WeConservePA may engage in a range of public policy matters, the board chooses to ensure the continued effectiveness of the organization in advocating for land conservation by choosing members of the council that hold land conservation as a high priority and avoiding appointments that can detract from this priority and focus.
