The Friends of Crease Street Garden held a dedication party on May 6, to celebrate its longtime journey to permanent preservation.

Representative Mary Isaacson, Senator Nikil Saval, and Neighborhood Gardens Trust’s Executive Director Jenny Greenberg joined neighbors, friends, donors, and supporters at a block party to celebrate this milestone.

For years, the Friends of the Crease Street Garden and neighbors in the Fishtown community have cared for this beloved public space. Once a neglected dumping site, the beautiful space now hosts events including movie nights, concerts, and spring and autumnal celebrations. Its preservation secures many long-term benefits for all Fishtown residents.

Neighborhood Gardens Trust was able to purchase the garden last December through the support of the PA Greenways Trails and Recreation Program, Penn Treaty Special Services District, Joseph Robert Foundation, and the generous donations of many community members.
