The 2022 EAC Network Fall Gathering took place at the Haverford Community and Environmental Center on Saturday, October 22. It was hosted by the Haverford Township EAC and Haverford Township Recreation Department, as well as Carol Grayshaw, WeConservePA’s Education Director. The first-ever fall gathering was a well-attended success, and will become an annual tradition. 67 individuals attended the network gathering, representing members of 27 different EACs (Environmental Advisory Councils), 10 municipalities, and 10 additional organizations and businesses. Attendees had over 5 hours of workshop training sessions available to them throughout the day, including a plenary panel on climate action, sustainability, and energy transition planning. Additional breakout sessions addressed topics such as model stormwater ordinances, rain garden programs, land development and conservation, waste reduction and recycling, invasive species, pollinators, and more.
