As I wrap up 18 years with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in land protection, I wanted to share a little gift with you as my goodbye and thank you:

Standing atop the Mt. Davis Observatory Tower offers a rare, panoramic view of how vast and connected our landscapes truly are. Major life transitions give us that exact same gift—a moment to step back, gain perspective, and appreciate how every path, challenge, and partnership connects to form the bigger picture.
Today, Friday, July 31, 2026, is officially my last day. If we haven’t had the chance to connect directly and this news comes as a surprise, please accept my apologies—it has been a total whirlwind of a transition, and there were so many of you I hoped to tell in person.
I am deeply thankful for the incredible experiences, partnerships, and memories from the past nearly two decades. I will miss working with each and every one of you immensely.
What’s Next
As some of you may know, I have accepted an opportunity that brings me closer to my home and family while offering fresh professional challenges and growth. In my new role as Executive Director of a community Stormwater Management Authority (alongside work with a local Fire District), I am excited to continue championing the same goals we’ve pursued together across the Laurel Highlands and Western Pennsylvania and beyond: clean waters and healthy green spaces that support the vitality of the communities where we live, work, and play.
Wishing you all many “rainbow moments” in the years to come as you weather the storms of life, conservation, and Mother Nature! Please always remember:Â any storm, rain, or dark time holds endless potential within.
