The Lancaster County Conservancy (LCC) announced that Fritz Schroeder will step into the role of director of marketing and development. Schroeder brings many strengths to the table, some of which are a deep connection to the Lancaster community, a passion for all things nature, and a strong commitment to clean water. Previously, Schroeder was LCC’s director of urban greening, where he was responsible for developing residential and urban greening programs.
Prior to joining LCC, Schroeder was the director of economic development for the East King Improvement District, a job that included bringing the Historic Eastern Market building back to life as a seasonal farmers market, serving diverse communities in downtown Lancaster. He has served in a leadership role with several nonprofits including the Little Conestoga Watershed Alliance, Susquehanna Sustainable Business Network, Lancaster Buy Fresh Buy Local, and the Lancaster County Conservation District Foundation. He received his B.A. from The College of Wooster in Ohio.
