The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) has grown their relationship with the Circuit Trails Coalition (CTC) with a new leadership role for one of their staff alongside an increase in granting opportunities for CTC members.

New Leadership

PEC Executive Vice President Patrick Starr has taken the reins as Chair of the Circuit Trails Coalition Steering Committee, replacing longtime Chair Sarah Clark Stuart upon her retirement from the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia.

The change in leadership comes as the Coalition aims to grow its membership to better represent the people who use the Circuit Trails network while continuing to add more miles of trails for recreation and transit.

Growing the CTC Community Through Additional Grants

Thanks to new funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), PEC was able to expand the Circuit Trails Community Grant Program to include six new nonprofits that provide programming on or near the trail network.
