The York County Rail Trail Authority announced that the very first section of new trail to be built along the recently purchased Genesee & Wyoming rail line was officially opened to the public on June 2, 2022. The new trail section (on the left) is approximately 0.3 miles long with a macadam surface that connects the Borough’s Main Street and Borough Park to the existing section of the Hanover Trolley Trail (on the right). Gates, fencing, and signs will be installed in the near future to complete the project.
