The Pennsylvania Office of Budget announced a streamlined and redesigned application process for the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) granting process.

The changes “are being implemented to provide a more efficient, effective, and transparent process for the grant awardee,” according to Bureau of Redevelopment, Capital, and Debt Director Natalia Dominguez Buckley. Buckley released the announcement in an official letter from the Office of Budget. Additionally, the letter stressed goals of the redesign process and linked to resources for potential applicants and current RACP grant recipients.

The redesign process took into account input from “internal staff reviews, analyses by the Office of Transformation, meetings with Legislators and staff, and a series of focus groups with past awardees.” Some of the redesign goals included:

  • a redesigned website [www.racp.pa.gov];
  • a streamlined application process;
  • a new online grant processing system;
  • an updated e-application; and,
  • a streamlined auditing process to evaluate risk and compliance.
