The Pennsylvania Environmental Council is now accepting applications for the
2026-2027 Pocono Forests and Waters Conservation Landscape Mini-Grants.
All applications must be submitted online
The deadline to apply is May 4
PEC was awarded a total of $80,000 from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources through their Community Conservation Partnership Program to administer the Mini-Grant Program.
Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations with tax-exempt status 501(c)(3), municipalities, municipal agencies and school districts, colleges, universities.
Eligible projects need to support and advance the PFWCL goals of conservation, community, and connections and be located within the counties of Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne.
The mini-grant program is administered by PEC as a reimbursement funding program that provides grants from $2,000 to $10,000.
All PFWCL mini grants require a 20% match of the total project cost up to the maximum grant award of $10,000. Total project cost cannot exceed $50,000.
Match can be in the form of cash and/or eligible non-cash (in-kind) services, or a combination of both.
No portion of the match can be from DCNR, and mini grants may not be used as match for other DCNR-funded projects.
The DCNR funding is provided through the Environmental Stewardship Fund administered by the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.
