The Pennsylvania Environmental Council, in partnership with DCNR, has announced the availability of a new mini-grant program for water trails.

Grants are available for projects that can quickly and efficiently address an urgent issue on a designated Pennsylvania Water Trail. Urgent issues are those that are causing, or could reasonably be expected to cause, an unsafe or dangerous situation for those wishing to access the river for recreation.

For more information and to apply, visit PEC’s mini-grants webpage.

Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis through December 31, 2024, or until available funds are awarded, whichever occurs first.

Applicants can request up to $2,000, and proposals must include dollar-for-dollar match. Both cash and non-cash match are accepted.
