The Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy (NPC) recently held a surprise celebration to honor executive director Reneé Carey for her 25 years of employment with NPC.
Reneé started her career with NPC in 1994 as a clerical assistant, shortly after graduating from Penn State. Her dynamic work ethic and passion for NPC’s mission led to her advancement as executive director in 1998. Since then, she’s guided NPC through numerous land acquisitions, conservation easements, and organizational advancements. She played an integral role in the formation of the Northcentral Stream Restoration Partnership, and continues to help lead the group to much success.
Well-respected throughout the state, Reneé is a current member and former president of the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association Board of Directors and serves in several advisory roles for a variety of other environmental protection organizations. Beyond her ability to lead, she always has a smile and kind word to share with everyone. She is a catalyst for positive change and NPC is grateful to have her at the helm.
