The Lebanon Valley Conservancy welcomed Courtney Reimann as Executive Director, who officially joined the organization on June 30. Here is more about Courtney in her own words:
My name is Courtney. I grew up in Myerstown and now live in Lebanon, Pa., with my husband and two sons. My background is in non-profit work in the human services field and serving as the board secretary for the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts. In my youth, my experience with Envirothon taught me to respect, conserve, and appreciate natural resources and the environment.
My work and volunteer pursuits are reflective of my desire to live in and help to foster an inclusive and welcoming community with ample opportunities for arts and culture and where this beautiful area is protected, preserved, and enjoyed. As my children get older and make choices about where they will live, I hope they see the greater Lebanon area as a place they can call home. Our area is perfect for outdoor recreation and relaxation. Some of my favorite activities are walking along the Union Canal, taking my children to explore the stream at Levitz Park, and cycling on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail.
My goal is to continue the mission of the Conservancy by connecting to the Lebanon community, increasing understanding of the importance of our natural world on the local level, and for The Lebanon Valley Conservancy to be part of the larger national and international conservancy movement. I look forward to meeting you and working with the Lebanon Valley Conservancy board, members, volunteers and supporters.
