Two Pennsylvanians were selected as 2019 Emerging Trail Leaders as part of the Hulet Hornbeck Emerging Trail Leaders Scholarship Program: Alyssa Wentz, GIS specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Mark Rooney, project administrator for Downtown Inc. in York.
The program, a project of American Trails, will bring 16 young adults from across the United States (as well as Canada and Panama) to the 2019 International Trails Symposium and Training Institute, scheduled for April 28–May 1 in Syracuse, New York.
