As Governor-Elect Shapiro and transition team continue to announce administration nominees, January 10 saw numerous announcements with great relevance for the conservation community (and many others) in Pennsylvania. Being retained in their current roles are: Cindy Adams Dunn, Secretary, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR); and, Russell Redding, Secretary, Department of Agriculture. Rich Negrin was nominated for Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). WeConservePA congratulates Sec. Dunn, Sec. Redding, and nominee Mr. Negrin, as those departments represent a wide range of stakeholders in the conservation community and beyond.
Dunn has served in the position of Secretary of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources since 2015. Redding has served in the position of Secretary of the Department of Agriculture since 2015. Negrin has served as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, as Managing Director and Deputy Mayor for the City of Philadelphia, Vice President and General Counsel for Aramark Healthcare, as a corporate litigation attorney in the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, and most recently as Vice President of Regulatory Policy and Strategy for the Commonwealth Edison Company in Illinois.
