As many of us know, working in local environmental advisory councils can be deeply fulfilling — but also mentally and physically draining. Between late meetings, community outreach, and juggling full-time jobs, it's not uncommon for volunteers to experience burnout, fatigue, or even insomnia.
What strategies do you use to stay balanced and energized while continuing to support your EAC's mission?
I’ve noticed some members, including myself, having trouble sleeping after long days of problem-solving and planning. A few colleagues mentioned looking into natural remedies, while others (under proper guidance) chose to buy Ambien online through licensed providers as a short-term sleep aid. Of course, that’s a personal choice and should always be discussed with a doctor — but I think it’s worth opening up the conversation about wellness and sleep in our volunteer work.
