With the award of a project grant from REI Pittsburgh, Hollow Oak Land Trust is working to install over 400 feet of new boardwalk along the Meeks Run Trail. This boardwalk is designed to help trail users stay high and dry, while allowing the wet terrain along Meeks Run to revegetate and serve as more productive wildlife habitat.
At two recent Monday Trail Luv sessions, volunteers have built over 300 feet of boardwalk with just over 100 feet to go. For more info on getting involved in this project, please visit the Hollow Oak Facebook page or email [email protected].
